Hello from Birmingham!

Hi all,

My name is Chris and I have signed up here as I am a big fan of forums and I like dogs

I am also here because my dog is suffering with Allergies and I am trying to help her as much as I can dispite this being on going now for a few years.

I will post more about that in the health section.

Oreo is a 7 year old Labrador/Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who we adopted from the RSPCA a few years ago. She was close to being put down due to her being 'older' and we just fell in love with her from the day we met her.

She is generally a happy dog but the constant itching cannot be good for her.

She is such a loving dog and can't believe how much affect she has had on our lives.

She is a spoiled dog however we are in the process of trying yet another food elimination diet so she is feeling a bit sorry for her self as were only three days in!

Her original name was Lisa however felt it didn't suit her and quickly changed it to Oreo (my favourite biscuit!!).

Anyway that's me and Oreo, I look forward to speaking to some of you soon!

I hope Oreo feels better, have you taken her to a vet yet?

It's great that you rescued & saved her!
Welcome to the forum

Hi,

Yeah we've been to the vets a lot and spent a small fortune, thank goodness for Pet Insurance.

She has had a number of tests and medication none of which have helped. The vets have basically said it's a case of managing the situation by using socks and a head collar.

I don't want that for my dog, hence why I'm searching the net for alternatives. I want my dog to be a dog!!

Thanks for the welcome!
