Hello :)

Hi So, I believe I signed up here shortly before my dog, Sunflower, passed away and just happeend to stumble on the site again and remember 'Oh yeah....I'm a member here aren't I?' . I can't remember if I ever posted an intro....so I thought maybe I'd share my story anyway

Well....this may be long, so.....be prepared xD

Anyway, almost three months ago we had to put down my dog Sunflower whom I'd had since I was seven. She'd been diagnosed with cancer January and there wasn't mush we could do save for take care of her as best we could and wait until the time came for her to go. It was very difficult and a very emotional time for me, only the second dog I'd ever had in my life and she'd been with me for over ten years. So I'm sure you can imagine how devastated I was. Immersing myself in my fish keeping, I decided that I didn't want another dog for some time....

Well sometime in July, we found that our neighbors dog had had puppies(no way to tell when she'd had them exactly)....however we had no clue where the neighbors were, they'd seemed to have disappeared. It was extremely hot, up in the 90s and 100s, and fearing the life of both mother dog and her puppies we began giving her water, then food when the people didn't come back and it looked like she had gone out hunting...and digging through trash. As much as I hate to admit it, I became attached to the adorable puppys.
However the people soon came back and we ceased caring for mother dog. We had kind of hoped to maybe take a puppy if they were going to give them away(There were 8, definitely just cute little mixed breeds, and it seemed they had not real interest in making an effort to do much with them), but a while passed without a word from the neighbors. I returned to my fish and got over the hope of possibly getting a puppy, reminding myself that i wasn't quite ready for one.

However, a week before my 18th birthday(almost three weeks ago), I'm called downstairs and see this little cutey on the ground in front of me.
(These pics were taken at that time, she does look different now....I need to upload some more recent shots^^; )

Her name is Aurora, or Roary, My dad had said that while he was out working on the fenc(we live out in the country), they called him over and offered him any puppy he wanted as a thanks for taking care of mother dog while they were going through some tough times. I was so surprised and shocked that I cried I still can't believe that we have another dog. xD

But the surprises continued. Two weeks after this, all 7 other puppies were still present even though the guy had said he'd had homes for them.....and it looked like they weren't getting food or water as mommy dog was in the trash again. Well my dad confronted him about it as he had a couple coworkers willing to give a couple puppies homes, and the guy said if we could find homes for them we could take any one we wanted save for one that he wanted to keep.....so we've sort of taken on caring for them once more and looking for homes. Two went to a couple of my dads coworkers, and we took on another.

This is Jade, Roarys sister. And yes, her eyes are green

Four puppies left, three to re home now. We're giving them all food and water, including mommy dog(who is very sweet and such a good mother), and handeling the puppies....as they tend to come through the fence now looking for us We hope to find them good homes before they get too old.

Just thought I'd share Thanks for putting up with my rambling xD
