Tess,
We have a dog at the clinic now who is paralyzed in his hind end. I saw the radiographs but I didn't get to talk to the vet to see what she diagnosed it as. It is obviously an issue with the vertebrae; I want to call it spinal compression but I'm not a vet . Anyways, poor guy, reminds me of Champers, though without the acute pain. I hope he pulls through okay.

Oh my! Which dog... if you can say, or send me a PM. A Llew? Did this just happen or has it been ongoing?

At the place I used to work they did a lot of surgeries for ruptured discs. Conservative care was using steroids. More aggressive care was surgery. The decision one way or the other depended on the degree of any sensation and movement in the back feet/legs. Are they considering surgery with your guy?
