Greetings

Hello there, you can call me Rand or Malt. I'm here because my grandmother recently got a new dog after her old one passed away (absolutely heartbreaking, she was a complete treasure of a dog).
This new dog is the very definition of a rescue dog and I'm here to get advice on how to best handle him! He's a true mutt, even the vet couldn't tell us what breeds he had in him, and she estimated he was about 3 years old. He's been extremely badly treated in the past and had a really hard life, up until now. We're the third ones to have him and the only ones not to abuse him. But he's landed on his feet in the cushiest home he could ever wish for - we really spoil our pets.
We've had him for 5 days and we're calling him Sawney.
Thanks for having me and I hope you can all guide me on Sawney's road to becoming a happy, well-trained, relaxed pooch!
