DogForum, meet Leonard & Penny. - Sunny Southern Ca.

My girlfriend and I recently adopted these two early June and we couldn't be any happier with our decision. They are of the same litter, Blue Merle and are standard Australian Shepherds.

My girlfriend has had the pleasure and experience of living with as many as 6 dogs in her household and just received her degree in animal science at UC Davis. Leonard, was actually her graduation present from me. I on the other hand, has never had a pet outside of a fresh water fish tank that I maintained my first year of college. But a dog, is always something that I always wanted. And with school done and my summer wide open, it knew it was time.

Any tips or advice for a new dog owner on anything from grooming to training would greatly appreciated.

Also very interested in information regarding local events here in California.

Penny

Leonard

I'm trying to socialize her as much as I can, bringing her to friends and families houses so she can warm up to being around a number of people. We have also been in and out of every pet store around my area too. But at the same time I feel a little bit paranoid bringing her out to too many places. They are still only 3 months and don't have their last round of shots.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm downloading the e-book version as we speak
The more you know.

I just can't stand it! He is SO cute! What a face and expression. (I just chucked him gently under his chin, thanks for the tip.) I am going to buy an aussie stuffed animal now that looks just like him...and I am 59 years old!!!

What adorable pups and so lucky to grow up together. Biggest tip I can think of is consistency in everything you do. Routine is your friend

Also, I love the font on their tags. Where did you have them made?
