Of course, who's gonna check even if it were true? What good is a ban with no enforcement?
As far as why he's near his kids - I understand it's said there's evidence that cruelty to animals can lead to violence against humans - the potential is there, etc.
But, that should be up to a family court/his family, etc to decide if they need to strip the kids of their father. If his wife or someone in the family brought this issue up, I'm sure it would be heard, especially with those studies backing her up (would probably have no problem getting a psych to testify to it) - but that person probably needs evidence of the signs starting, and that's where it gets hard.
Why isn't, say, CPS or Social Services not even raising the issue...maybe they have and the family hasn't acted? I know personally, I don't know enough to make that determination. |
