1) Get your dog (or pet) written up as a therapy pet-just ask your dr. Then you are allowed to take them anywhere Haven't done it-want to though
2) say it's a small size dog and sneak it in back-my parent's trick-we travelled a lot and always snuck our 50lb BC in back lol-so long as they are toilet trained and quiet-well feel no guilt
There is a lot of pet friendly accommodation over here now. They are starting to realise that people want to holiday with their pets...about time they woke up to the fact.
There's a book i've seen on a website that gives you lists of where you can stay w/ your dog(s) and it gives info on how... I think. Here's the link, i think you can only get the book online though.... Travel With Your Dog
Did I tell you guys when I stayed in a hotel with my bunnies? We went to Vancouver to adopt Chuck (he's special-two years in a shelter-blind and one eye-later found out he was deaf-totally worth 25 hours driving round trip :lolsign: )
Well we brought Rupert and Kahlua -my only two at the time. I phoned the hotel to ask about their pet policy and they didn't return my call nor did they answer my email. I found it a tad rude since we've been put there before with Dave's work-three weeks of room and 3X daily room service-you'd think they'd answer lol
So since they didn't answer-I just assumed, and brought them. We put the Do Not Disturb up and exchanged towels in the lobby instead of letting the maid in. And we just let Rupert and Kahlua romp and then Chuck when I was finished the adoption proceedings.
It worked well I used cloth carriers-so they look more like bags then kennels-and just snuck them in and out. Wish I'd been smart enough to bring my hand held vacuum though-hand sweeping stray poopies and hay was not fun.
Poor maid wondering what kind of party we'd had that there was hay in the room.... :lolsign:
haha...stray poopies! lol... when i had my bunny there would always be one or two somewhere, no matter how often i'd sweep/vaccuum them up! and inevitably, someone would come over and pick one up "what's this" "oh no, poop!"
i know... sorry... i'm very bad... lol... (actually i blame mr. awesomeness )
