First let me begin by saying I love him but today was not a good day for us. First, he ran out the door when my mom opened it and took off after the neighbors chickens that had come down into our yard and did not listen to me when I called for him to come back. Then I went to the store and when I came back I found my $100 blue tooth that I had left on the end table chewed up. Now let me say it is not like he did not have several toys he could of chewed instead but no he had to get something off the table instead of one of his toys. I would of never imagined he would get anything off of the table I have left it there alot of times and he never bothered it. At least I found all the parts so I know he will be ok.:eyeroll:

{{{{Hugs}}} I am sorry you had a bad day. I am sure we all have them. It could just be that he is getting more comfortable with you and he may start misbehaving more and "showing his true colors." I had Kimber for about 2 weeks and all of a sudden it was like I had a different dog. Just remember that tomorrow is a new day! :):)

:( I'm sorry :( They can be little buggers some days ;)
If it makes you feel better-before we got Mikey's insane exercise schedule down he ate my camera, my cellphone, my entire panty/bra collection, my lipstick (We caught him pink handed and faced, and pink-carpet'd) and a ton of other things lol ;)

I hate those days.. Last year was a hard year for us and we wernt able to give much to the kids. My youngest LOVES barbies and didnt have but a few. So for christmas of 09 we made sure that Santa had LOTS of Barbies for her! It was very exiting and it was the best thing to her. In Jan of 10, about the middle of the month, Feora snuck off to her bedroom and ate all of her new ones!! It was horrable and there were buckets and buckets of tears. So we got a lock for the outside of her bedroom (and people question us if we lock my daughter in there now) for her to lock when she isnt in there to keep Feora from pushing the door open and I got up enouph money to buy a couple more Barbies for her. Those dolls are outrages on those prices!!

Sorry for your blue tooth.... I know... us doggie people know..... and then when they cuddle with us we tell them how mad we are at their actions at the same time that we are hugging them....

Yep that is exactly what last night was I petted him and loved on him but still said to him I was mad at him his reply was to look at me pittiful with his big brown eyes and lick my chin. LOL I had not been keeping him in a crate while gone but I guess I will now that he has started showing his true colors. : )

lol... i explain to my dog how "bad" he is all the time, and he always has the same response, tail wagging and smiling at me like it is christmas or something... *sigh* i've tried explaining stuff to him but he just doesn't listen! seriously tho, crating is a great option, and imo, a really good idea to train even if you don't use a crate all the time, if there is ever a time when you really have need of crating the dog you'll know that he is comfortable with it... which brings me to this thread:
http://www.dogforum.com/dog-training/crate-training-faq-3974/

make sure that you get him used to being in the crate and don't just pop him in it... this thread has great advice on how to do that.... :)

Aren't puppies fun? :D When Minnie was little (I was 5) she got ahold of my beloved stuffed dragon, ripped off a nostril and put a hole in a wing. Needless to say I was not amused and my parents didn't even have the decency to take him to the toy hospital ;)

Thanks for the link I have trained several dogs to be crated so we are working on it with him. He did good this weekend he will not go in but if I put him in he will just curl up on his bed and look at me like I am the meanest mommy there is. LOL
Elaine- he is not a puppy the vet said he is about 2.5 years old, but he still loves to chew his chew toys, bones and stuff.
