Need help selling my pure breed Maltese please

Hello,
I bought a pure breed female Maltese about a month ago. She is just 3 months old.

My husband got new job outside the country (out of United States). and we have to go soon.

The country we are going is rabies free. My puppy has some shorts and will get rabies vaccine on the first of April. Even after all vaccines, she still has to go through titer test after 3 months.

Which means she can only be allowed to go with us after 4 months. Meanwhile we are leaving in less than a month.

Her shorts are already paid for and we have Benfield Membership for her. She has been to Petsmart twice for Puppy Grooming and she is already house trained.

Please help me sell her to someone who will give her love and care as that's what she is growing up with. Thank you.

What does your signed contract say when you acquired your dog from the breeder? Reputable breeders will take back a dog no matter what the reason or age of dog. With a pup so young, the breeder has a good chance of placing the puppy in another home.

Another option is to surrender your dog to a breed specific rescue. I found this organization on the American Kennel Club website.

Do you want the dog to go with you?

From what I understand, she can't go for another four months though.

If you want to keep her, get on the phone and start calling around to see what you can do to arrange for someone to watch your dog for that time and then send the dog over when the time is up. Someone from a rescue group or the breeder where you got her would probably be the best bet since other people know them and know their reputation with animals and you could verify things. It's possible that the breeder that you got your dog from would do this. For a fee most likely. It's worth checking into if you don't want to give your dog up.
