It's pretty useful for when she is being too clingy and I don't want to upset her by telling her to go away (which she knows also, and will slink off with her tail between her legs). The funniest part is, it somehow also came to mean "go stick your nose in my boyfriend's face". Sometimes my boyfriend will hide under a bunch of blankets and I'll tell Skyli "where is it?! Go find it!" and she'll do everything possible to get under the blankets where my boyfriend is and proceed to shove her nose all over his face.
Hahaha that's adorable! I like that you turned her leaving you alone into a positive so that she doesn't feel unwanted! That's really sweet!

That happened because we'd come in from our morning walk and I'd play with him for a bit, then he'd wander away. I'd glance around to see what he was up to and see him standing by the cupboard I keep him treats and chews in, and I'd ask him, "Whatcha want?" and get up and give him a bully stick.
I sort of did the same with Leesi, if they're staying home alone I say "I love you" and give them each a cookie. When I drop them at my mom's I always say "We're going to grandma's!!" Which causes Leesi to lose it! She gets SOOOOO excited. They'll calmly follow me to the kitchen until I say "I love you" which results in a bit of sulkiness or when I say "We're going to grandma's" Leesi starts her whole dancing routine and gets VERY vocal.

I gave him a treat when he played with her as a puppy and it just stuck.
