Hi
Dont know if anyone can help but this is the story, My mum and dad have a (approx - was a rescue) twelve year old male terrier(not sure of the breed as was rescue but kind of like a Jack Russell with a beige short coat). He has been with my mum for about 10 years and has suddenly started barking at night, he just wont settle. He normally sleeps in his bed on the landing and has done ever since they got him. He normally goes to bed and gets up with my dad at 5am then normally goes to my parents room until my mum gets up however if they told him to go to his bed he always would. My mums mother died a couple of weeks ago and ever since he came back from the kennels (where they had to leave him for the funeral, but he has been to these kennels a number of times before without problems) he has been going to bed but waking them by barking and howling at about 1am and then not settling for the whole night. They are shattered. He has also become very clingy. Mum doesnt want to give in and start having him in their room but this is really causing a problem - any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks.
