| | These dogs fear almost everyone. Can we fix this?
My mom owns 5 small greek domestic dogs. One female who's the mom and the four others are her children (2 generations). They are all adults, the two youngest ones are about 20 months old. We have issues with these younger ones. They trust only my mom and myself, won't even go near my dad, brother or sister who were not around during the first 6 months of their lives. We hoped that with time they'd get used to the rest of the family but they have not changed at all. The dogs will run around the whole yard panicking if anyone but mom or myself follow them.
the female one is also barks very aggressively at any visitors, is scared of the rain, and doesn't recognize people who wear black.
There's a lot of other things they do that have me confused. I have a hint we should have gotten a trainer earlier, but it's not a service we can obtain very easily where we live.
What can we do about this? Are they too old to be helped out of this fear?
