Old Chow Mix suddenly pooping in house
Our chow mix is 13, and she's healthy aside from her eyesight and hearing is not great anymore, and she has developed allergies so we have to be careful about what she eats and we have a whole new weekly regimen to keep her skin and fur healthy. She's old though, and I realize that older dogs just have issues sometimes with aging. Her temperament has slightly changed where she just doesn't deal with much anymore and can get crabby. We've had to adjust things for that too. The past 6 months her aging has been very noticeable.
But now she's been pooping in the house. We thought it was our year and 1/2 old dog at first maybe testing boundaries or something, but I caught Sasha in the act last night in the same spot we've been finding it. She has never done this before. This has also been happening right after we bring the dogs in from being outside.
My options are probably limited, but is there anything we can do to keep this from happening? Or anything we can ask her vet to specifically check? We just went for both the dog's regular check up, and they did a blood test but it was to check on her skin issues.
