My 10 month lab bites me randomly and unprovoked!

Okay...We got our now 10 month old goldador in June, and we all knew she was going to be a biter from the beginning. She chewed on toys, skirts, pants, even our couch a little while ago! And I have a large family. But I take care of all her needs, and I give her the most attention, I trained her, so I'm pretty much her "alpha." I'm the boss. But I'm the one she bites. If I'm sitting on the couch watching TV, she'll come bite me on the arm or whatever. I don't get why she does this. I mean, our house is pretty chaotic, but I see that she gets attention. I think I should definitely be playing with her more, but right now, the weather is like -40 C. Cold. Any tips? I heard a tired dog is a good dog, but is there any training I can give her before she's older and it's even harder to break this habit? I'll admit we used to bop her on the nose, but we don't do that anymore. Does the "gentle approach" work?

Thanks for any responses.

Lol it sounds like she's just being pushy and rude about getting your attention. Do you have a crate or baby gates to block off rooms? I'd just put her up for a few minutes when she does this. Some dogs, any attention is better than no attention.....any kind of rise out of you could be giving her what she wants- your interaction even if its not the positive kind. Just quietly and calmy get up and put her away for a few minutes. Not as punishment- its just a way to communicate to her that mouthing you is not going to get her the attention she wants.
