Barkong in kennel

After adopting her a couple months ago stella never barked in her crate when we had to leave her home alone. Now everytime i come home she is barking until she hears me come in. Her bark isnt insanely loud but we live in an apartment. It doesnt matter if im gone half an hour or 3 hours she is still barking. How do i stop it?

Desensitization training would probably be good. My dog whines and barks which is part of his separation anxiety. Sometimes I interrupt it with a loud noise and that appears to work and once he's quiet that should be praised. I also read that you can teach him to bark and then teach the command quiet? I'm not sure how that works.
