In my experience, thundershirts are a "point solution". They give a sense of relief when a particular anxiety-causing event is happening - like a thunderstorm or fireworks. They're not really effective as a general, long-term method of reducing stress, simply because the dog becomes accustomed to wearing it.
Have you thought about working with a behaviorist or trainer to determine what the particular triggers are that make your dog anxious? The problem we have as owners is that we will see our dog behaving in a particular way, but we weren't observing him in the moments before that behavior started. So we don't know what set them off in the first place. A behaviorist can help with that.
