Talking oh, yes, & don't forget the exceptions...

.

B4 anyone jumps on me:
some breeds do continue to sleep touching each other as adults, among them, CKCS - but they are very few.
Most dogs as adults prefer to sleep as a group thing, just as they tend to be active & playful at the same time, eat at the same time, etc - but they prefer their own space for sleeping.

I'm agreeing with you. Mine sleep in the same room but have there own little space and they do everything else together except individual training

I appreciate all the input.
Last night I gave the little one a good play session right before bed to tire him out. He only woke up to go straight outside and didn't bother the big dog to play or investigate at all.
I can tell the puppy is noticing the big dog doesn't want much to do with him yet and is giving him more space and going to the beagle when she is around to play as she's only about a year and wants to play.

To terry.
He is now 8 weeks. They were 8 weeks on Saturday and we got the puppy friday night so it wasn't much less.

To markie.
I figured once everyone saw that photo their state of mind would change. Like I said it was my bad for not being more specific on his breed haha.
Thanks for the input.
I'll keep an eye on them as I do with any new pups but for the most part I'll let them learn from each other.

If anyone has any other suggestions I'm always open to learn and hear more!

Yeah the picture helped. They would've taught each other the same way. They are pack animals. You were okay no big deal I know Malamutes are just big babies so your going to be fine

Yes he does.
We get down sometimes but he never bites anything.
Even when him and the beagle play she'll be going at his neck (playfully of course) and he will never actually bite he just paws.
he picked up biting on anything living is a big no no when he was super young.
He's a very chill dog. Would much rather cuddle then play but it's important to let him have some fun sometimes.
Loves his toys tho!
