I'll start!

I'm trying to look at various events to plan an appropriate amount. Unfortunately, many of them are not posted yet!

Aspen will focus on Flyball with some Barn Hunt tossed in.

Breeze will focus on Disc and Dock Diving at the beginning of the season and hopefully debut in Flyball in the fall.

Our first Agility trial is the beginning of March. Our March trial is indoors so I will only be taking Lucy, my Shih Tzu x Maltese. When the outdoor trials start in April, I will start taking Bonnie, my Golden Doodle as well as we camp out at them.

We are pretty much exclusively agility, with some herding sprinkled in for good measure.

Our first BIG competition is in April, Regionals in May, Nationals in August. Plus handfuls of local trials on the weekends.

I'm thinking about introducing disc to Levi, he loves playing Frisbee.

No events coming. Alva is retired and I doubt I'll get so far in Pulma's training that I would dare to enter her anywhere. I'll re-evaluate that in the fall when I've had all summer to train her obedience skills and can think about BH. I should also practice Nosework a lot so that I would be prepared if there would be any near me.
In May she'll start agility classes.

The organisation that umbrellas most of our obedience-related sports here developed a 'license' a year ago. This means that you have to pay a fee before you have even entered a trial. Does any other country have a procedure like this? Some clubs might require a membership to allow trialing, I guess. I haven't heard. Agility here is licended too, but that is because the local agility association wanted the status of a sport, and the insurance in the license covers trials and classes. I don't like how this licence thing was shoved down our throats. This means that I have to plan when and how I can trial my dog because I refuse to give them a cent more than I have to because of this idiotic action. If I'll ever trial under them at all. Unfortunately my country doesn't have rivaling organisations like the US although it seems we have a lot of different trials available compared to how many people live here.

@FinnAlva - We have to pay for an ID/Height card for our dogs in AAC agility, which is like 12 bucks per dog, and we also pay to register our dogs for UKI.

So, the initial cost is pretty low, but agility remains very expensive. 20 dollars per run, and I average 8 runs a weekend, so the weekends are definitely not cheap!

Our most expensive trials are the two indoor trials we go to as even though three of us share the expenses it costs us about three hundred dollars each for the gas and Motel plus the entries at $16.00 a class and we usually go in five classes a day. The rest of the trial are outdoors so we camp out at the trials in our trailers, campers, etc. but it only costs about $10 each to camp right at the trials. Would not want to not go though as both me and my dogs enjoy it so much.
I am 80 years old in June so never know when I will have to stop.

Entered both Bonnie and Lucy in a trial in May. It will be Bonnie's first trial this year. Have been working with her all winter to try and get her confidence back as she was still scared of some dogs after being attacked at her first trial. Lucy is getting a bit of a break so just entered her in the three Gambler classes and one jumper class but put Bonnie in Jumpers and Gamblers. Their Jumper class is on the Friday night along with Steeplechase which I did not enter in.
