Worms??

Okay help. I found one of these works on my bed where my puppy was laying. She is acting completely normal, has an appetite, is running and playing, etc. what's going on?

It's a tapeworm segment. Gross, but fairly easy to treat. Tapeworms come from either fleas or eating something outdoors like a rodent or similar. As the worm grows in the dog segments break off and come out the back end.
Tapeworms are treated for with a different medication than the normal wormer given to dogs, so make sure to be specific and get the proper tapeworm medication.
