I have an eight and a half month old Blue Heeler who vomits more often than I find normal. It's very random, and he never seems to be "under the weather."
This started several months ago, when he'd eat and drink his water. Several minutes would go by and he'd throw up his water in a clear, mucus type substance. Sometimes bits of kibble would be present. I chalked this up to his extremely hyper personality, and since it wasn't -all the time- I always ended up not taking him to the vet, thinking whatever it was subsided.
Several mornings, again random, not consecutive etc. I'd wake up to find him in his kennel with the floor covered in a tan/green mucus type vomit. Again he never seemed to be 'sick' ....
Approximately one month ago, he became very ill, throwing everything up almost immediately after consumption, blood in his stool etc. took him to the hospital, had every test under the sun ran ($$$) and they couldn't find anything, other than assuming he had HGE...medication and a few days later he was back to health. (He was deathly I'll and it was very apparent unlike all other times).
Well, now today I wake up and find his cage full of vomit again....he's acting fine but it seems to be a recurring issue.
Has anyone dealt with something like this before? I do not want another 2k doctor bill just for medication and a "we can't find anything wrong with him."
I'm not a doctor, but a dog that throws up as constantly as this little guy just doesn't seem to be normal or a pleasant experience for him or ME.
