What is happening?! Help!

Hello, I was hoping that someone here could help me figure out what is happening with my dog. Okay, so I adopted Ayla about a month ago. I got her all set up with her vet and a full physical, and they said she was healthy other than needing a few pounds and having a little kennel cough (wheezing). Ayla is malnourished and has a little wheeze that shows up when she is excited. Now my issue is this thing she does when she gets excited! When ayla meets new people, gets scared, or is too excited, she will lay on the ground and start convulsing. Then she throws up and poops. It's almost like she is having a mini seizure. Better detail on the convulsing, she flops her head from side to side while hyperventilating, her legs don't quite twitch, they just move like she is uncomfortable (which I don't doubt). All this while very audibly whimpering. I have no clue what she is doing and I really need help! I don't want her to continue to suffer through them. Does anyone have any idea what is happening or how I can help her? Thank you for your time, I greatly appreciate it.

You should video her during one of these attacks, so your Vet can see it.

Have him look at her thyroid. I had a dog with seizures and it was because f the thyroid. I am sorry. Also, don't have this pup on Nexgard or the like and you might try going gluten free for him.
