I've only had my dog, Iroh, for about 2 months. He's a German Shepherd/Husky mix with some other breeds thrown in as well. In the time that I've had him, he's become constipated a couple of different times, but it always resolves itself within 2-3 days without any intervention from me or a vet.
Currently, Iroh has been constipated for about 3 days.
The last time that I fed him was around noon yesterday, and he had a new flavor of wet canned food for the first time mixed in with his dry food (it was beef instead of poultry, but the same brand.)
Last night, at around 9 PM, Iroh coughed a few times and two pieces of dry undigested kibble came out of his mouth. Later, at around 10:30, he actually vomited up about half a cup of kibble. Then, at around 4:30 in the morning, I woke up to the sound of him throwing up the entirety of what I had fed him earlier in the day. (It was more than 12 hours prior at that point.) I could still easily see the round edges of dry kibble as if they hadn't been digested at all.
Is his vomiting likely related to the constipation, and what should I do about one or both problems?
