Throwing Up

Hi,
I've read the posts about dogs throwing up but I don't think they quite apply to Corky. He throws up in the morning only about twice a week and it's before he's eaten.

It is watery/mucousy and very golden yellow with almost no solids so I don't think it has to do with the food he's eating.
I thought it was nerves, at first, since we had painters over for a week (outside of the house) and after they left, he threw up for 2 days (morning only). But now, no painters and he still seems to be having the same problem.

In the past, after he threw up, he would eat some grass and be fine. Then come in and eat his usual breakfast (kibble).

This morning he isn't touching his food and won't even eat his dog biscuit that he usually loves, plus he's kind of low energy.

Any clues?

I would normally say if all else was normal then he may have a case of hunger pukes and to try feeding him a snack before bed.... However, seeing as today he is not eating at all and seems lethargic I would consider contacting your vet for a consult... It may be that he got into something he shouldn't have, a stomach virus, or a host of other things....

My dog use to do this when he was a puppy up until about he turned 2, it was always in the morning before food, and only maybe 1 or 2 times a week. How often do you feed him? Maybe try feeding him his dinner a little later in the evening. But like the previous poster said if he is not eating now and lethargic take him to the vet.

I agree a visit to the Vet is what should happen next.
