Skin + allergies?

I recently obtained this lovely German Short Hair Pointer. 2 weeks into staying with us he developed these small itchy white nodules in clusters that eventually developed on the inside of his feet and the insides of both arms. These became infected because he continued to itch/lick. He was on Call of the Wild. I switched this to Science Diet (I thought maybe food). While on antibiotic these lesions improved completely over the next week or two (thinking maybe allergic to meat in call of wild?). About 10 days ago he started to get them again in the same locations. He was eating some table scraps but over the past 6 days he has only eaten apples and his food but he still is itchy. Benadryl helps.
We haven't moved somewhere new and we don't have fleas. I treated him yesterday night just in case. No new detergents, chemicals. He gets bathed maybe once every 2-3 weeks.

Does anyone have any experience. I would love to figure this out.

In a T-shirt to protect the infected area - Hilarious that it's purple.

Thank you for your time!

If he is allergic to meat in TOTW he will be allergic to that meat in any food. There is an allergy test you can buy, but it is spendy. Could save you a LOT of time trying to figure it out with trial and error though.

Changing foods, even if there are no allergies to a new food, can trigger skin issues simply because of the change. I do not personally like science diet, I think TOTW is a better food. But the best kibble available, IMO, is Orijen. I would suggest sticking to one brand, a GRAIN FREE brand with NO fillers, then trying one of their recipes for at least a month unless you notice an immediate bad reaction. Change the recipes by protein, for example, start with beef, if it doesn't help move to chicken, then lamb, then fish etc.

I feel the most common allergy in dogs is to chicken, that does not necessarily make them allergic to turkey and duck, though.
