Scabby tail on puppy

Hi, my puppy 5 weeks American bull dog mix has a scabby tail, I’ve been applying neosporin for 3 days and the scans are falling off and his skin is showing I’m not sure if that is good. Any ideas on what this can be? Keep in mind i rescued him from a lady who wasn’t caring for him and kept outside where there is dirt.

I’d personally get a vet to check just in case it’s mites or something since you say you rescued him, never know what conditions his skin might be in. In the meantime, coconut oil works great for dry, crusty skin and can ease any itchiness. Also, would love to see photos of your guy. I have an American bulldog too!

Since you just got him you should be taking him for a check up at the vet and you can ask about his tail then.
