Halle is back from an acupuncture session. She is active and happy.

Halle's vet had a dog who suffered from the same cancer (nasal cancer). She said she will try her best to help (she managed to extend her dog's life for three years with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), homeopathy and an alkaline diet)... she is treating Halle without charging me... she's aware I have no family and have been standing on my own two feet for a long time. This is a huge burden off my shoulders... can't express how grateful I am towards her.

Chemotherapy, however, will have to be performed at an animal hospital by another vet. I will have to pay for that. I don't like the idea of chemo (i'm an RN and have seen patients receiving chemo grow weaker afterwards), but, I think it is essential due to the extent of the spread. Halle's vet is sharing with me some recipes on how to compensate for the fatigue (caused by chemo). Also, we will have to monitor her kidneys and liver function.

I will share those recipes tomorrow... there's one thing that she said: she discourages cold-pressed coconut oil for dogs with cancer (otherwise, it is actually good for dogs with skin and gum conditions). She advised to use something lighter, like, extra virgin olive oil.

To limit the growth of cancer cells, mix a teaspoon of tumeric powder+some black pepper and extra virgin olive oil (it doesn't have to be precise, but, of course not too much black pepper due to its spiciness). These three ingredients have to be mixed in order to be activated (do not serve separately).

I've also been given some TCM meds to slow the spread and boost her immunity (I'm not sure if y'all practise TCM in the West... it's commonly practised here...).

With regards to cannabis oil, I am not ruling that out and am still trying to find ways to obtain it. Halle's vet agrees that it has healing properties, and, can improve quality of life. But, she's concerned that I might get into trouble.

She has had extensive experience with cancer in humans (her own family members) and animals, so I'm diligently heeding her advise...

I will post updates... don't worry... I need to attend to Halle now because she's having trouble sleeping (she has breathing difficulties lying down)... she has to sniff Frankincense oil... it makes her feel better...

thats good news. i have to say i disagree with the oils, using olive oil instead of coconut, but you dont have to give her "eveything", that has cancer cell killing properties. or schall i say not everything every day, yes coconut oil is really rich, and high in calories, so just see how you get on.
and great news about the free treatment. there is some kind people about. im looking forward to lots of good updates.
what kind of dog is Halle?

Here's one recipe she shared (Ingredients have to be *juiced*, not blended):

Green apple - 2 (remove core)
Green Capsicum - 1
Celery - 1
Bittergourd -1 (the more bitter, the better... choose the smaller ones)
Cucumber - 1

It's 0435-hrs here... Halle felt better after sniffing vaporized Frankincense oil and is asleep snuggled against me (she insists).

Halle is a 6.5kg (14.3lbs) pug/mini-pincher mix. Folks think she's a mongrel puppy (I suppose she does look like one), but she's 10-y/o... won't grow any bigger.

I swear she's the sweetest and smartest dog I've ever had. Look at that face.

Awww, Halle is cute!

I don't have any recipes or anything to share, but I will say this: stay positive! Staying positive will help to fight cancer. Positivity alone will not help by itself, but it is a big help, even to dogs. They can sense emotions. Stay positive with all your might! Please believe me, it will help! Lemme tell you a quick story.

I used to have a 19 and a half year old beagle. Yup, almost 20 years old. At the age of 15, she contracted glaucoma and had to have an eye removed. She was happy and healthy otherwise. A few months later, the other eye was infected. It got removed too. She was elderly, and had to be taken care of almost all the time to not fall down stairs and such. At the age of 19, she contracted pneumonia. Guess what? She beat that too. Finally, at the age of 19 and 1/2, she fell into a coma and the vet said she had end-of-life cancer. We finally had to put her down because that was the best option for her age. She would not have survived treatment and it would've been cruel to keep trying to keep her alive.

My best memories of her of when she was elderly. Every time we took her to the vet with a problem. they always asked "Would you like to have her put down?" They are vets, why do they gotta be so negative? Negativity never helped anyone! She was the best beagle anybody could've asked her, and I am grateful I had so long with her! We always remained positive, up until the very end for her. Through her toughness and me and my family's love, she was happy and healthy throughout all her life and illnesses.

The basic point is: keep positive. Keep trying. Never give up. Unless your dog is hopelessly suffering, then do not throw in the towel! I do not know practical treatments of cancer, but my mom did have colon cancer. She is now cancer-free, and the number 1 thing I remember from it: stay positive, always!
