Puppy won't lay down after spaying

Hello,

My 7 month old puppy got spayed yesterday. She had a bit of complications and required them to go back in an add another stitch.

She's eating and drinking normal, and seems to be in higher spirits but she refuses to lay down. She's taking pain medication but only every 12 hours.

She falls asleep sitting or standing then jolts awake as she begins to fall.

A) Should I be concerned?

B) any tips to make a comfortable place to lay down? I've tried beds, blankets, everything but she wont lay down on her own.

Maybe you can prop/support her on both sides so that she is more comfortable standing.

Hopefully that was temporary and she is now more comfortable and able to lay down.

Hi! My puppy did something similar when she got spayed as well. She was super dazed from the medication, and the only thing that helped her was time. I had to gently place her in a lying down position and the she settled. I also had to sleep on the floor with her the first couple nights after surgery because she wouldnt settle, as I think she was uncomfortable.
