I've thought about this too, but my dog has been around plenty of large dogs and he doesn't seem to mind what size they are as long as he's okay with their behavior towards him. I know that puppies can't really comprehend personal space and respect until they're more mature, but I feel that the puppy would learn pretty fast that my beagle doesn't like to mess around and be respectful of that once he/she gets older. I think having a new housemate and friend to keep him company would be good for everyone. He has separation anxiety and gets lonely when we aren't home, so maybe having another dog would help with that too? Thanks for all of the feedback

Call the humane society tell them the dogs are in bad living conditions if they still are. They have to give them a chance to clean it up but if they don't they take the dogs and then you can get them from the Humane society after they have got there checks done. :-):-) I get both views wanting to get the puppies out but also not wanting to pay a backyard breeder.
