Puppy Diarrhea

I have a 5 month old goldendoodle puppy that is in training to be a service dog for me. I am visiting her this weekend and took her for two nights to bond with her. Today she had a very loose stool. Is this normal for a puppy who is away from their normal living situation?

Yes, stress from a new environment can certainly cause a loose stool. I would try adding a spoonful or two of puréed pumpkin to the next meal. Make sure it's pumpkin only, no sugar or spices added (not pumpkin pie filling). This will add some fiber which should firm up the stool. Of course if it's diarrhea and it doesn't stop after 24-48 hrs, a trip to the vet may be warranted.
