Post spay surgery

I am going to first start by saying I messed up.

The first night I brought her home I didn't bother reading the papers my vet sent home with me. I kept her on a leash so she wouldn't jump around so much and I watched her like a hawk to make sure she wasn't messing with them. It was easy the first night. The second night she started acting normal and I felt better about it all because she wasn't mopey anymore.

I have never put her in a crate so I don't own one and wouldn't have thought of putting her in one for two weeks. I left her roam in the house, play with two dogs, chase the cat and now 5 days later her stitches are looking pretty rough and I must say I'm so worried and feel rediculously irresponsible.

So I'm wondering if I should just take her to the vet in the morning or if there's something I could do to reverse the damage?

Take her back to your vet for a recheck. It could be a suture reaction.
