Pomeranian puppy refused to eat

Hello all dog lovers,

I got my pomeranian puppy last month with very good health condition. She eat normal with her pack food for her age, I can say.

But within this week she won't eat her food at all, she just eat only a few bites then she walk away. I have try to cook her difference kind of foods. then she eat a few bites then she walk away again.
She look healthy, she play a lot. But she didn't eat or eat but very less amount of food. I really worry about her, even make me can't sleep at night. I have bring her to the vet, and the vet says it not that serious. please don't worry.
The vet said because I offer her too many choice of foods. that cause this problem happen. he gave me some vitamin for dog, he said it may help.

Any other suggestion for me please?

Thank you so much,

Sam

Actually It my mistake. because I feed her table food, When we eat and then she really want and ask for our food. so we start to gave her some of our food. with some of different human foods.

A week later, She looks hungry but she won't eat even table food or pack food. she eat only a few bites then leave. It's been 10 days now. She look healthy, play a lot.

I know I made her become picky eater. But how could I change her back to her normal routine with dry puppy food?

Any suggestion is appreciated

For a healthy adult dog I'd say use tough love. Do not feed her anything but her normal food, don't add anything to it. But I'd be worried about a puppy not eating or not eating much. They need that nutrition to grow. Have you weighed her? Is she still a healthy weight or lost much weight? She is a small puppy so she really doesn't need to eat much, how much are you feeding and how much is she eating? Could she be eating enough buy you are not realizing it thinking she needs more? If you are still worried you could always go to a second vet.

Your little puppy sounds like my puppy. Same thing happend. Had people giving her goodies and snacks and then she would not eat her normal food. Soon after I found out I was giving her to much. So when she got her dinner she would eat it all and not be hungry all night and most of the morning. Try cutting the food back in the evening, so she is more hungry in the morning. Missing a few days wont hurt her. Once she is hungry enough she will start eating again.

Maybe she doesn't like the food she has, or has a bad reaction to it. How are her poops - normal or with any strangeness to them? Is she getting treats, or is anyone else feeding her?
Perhaps try a different flavour or brand?
