Pacing since last night

So around 1:30 am my dog started pacing and was up the remainder of the night. He is continuing to eat and going to the bathroom just fine. He was also excited when I came back from the store a little earlier. He did not seem to be in pain when I touched him all over. He would just lay down for a few minutes and then get up in what seems to be a panic and start pacing.
He seems to be settling down now though. He has also done something similar before, just not for this long of a time. I plan on taking him to the vet tomorrow...it’s Sunday and because he is still eating and drinking, I don’t think a trip to the emergency vet is necessary.
He is about 10 or 11 years old and I did read that pacing can be normal for older dogs, but he isn’t doing it consistently..this is the first time in at least a year he’s done this.
He also got bit by a tick last week on our walk...I pulled it off of him immediately and definitely got the head. So I don’t think this has anything to do with it, but I could be wrong.
Like I said, I do plan on taking him to the vet tomorrow but just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this with their dog before and what it might have been?
