Looking for information and/or experiences with giving your dog Zeniquin? Specifically for an extended period of time? Our dog contracted Pseudomonas while undergoing a common ligament correction surgery and has suddenly started experiencing serious renal issues. He was also on Deramaxx, which was stopped approximately 1 week ago. He's been on Zenigun since mid November.
He is an older dog BUT had above average blood work prior to surgery. Now all of his issues are being classified as "chronic kidney disease". He started going into renal failure the same exact day that his (pseudomonas) surgical site began to open back up and actively drain. Just curious to know if he could potentially be having some sort of adverse reaction to the Zeniquin or if this could even play of role in his drastic decline of his kidney function. The surgeon doesn't seem too concerned with his infection, and this too is a very unsettling feeling!
