Old dog canít hild on his poop

Ok so I have a 12 year old golden mix, he just had a senior check up and is healthy except for having bad arthritis on his lower back/spine. We have him on an anti inflammatory and he is in good spirits and while slower then he use to be he is still alert and sometimes even playful with my other dogs. But because of his arthritis and itís location, basically if he has a hard time getting up or if he has to poop, it just comes out, he canít really hold it. This started a little bit ago but then it only happened if the floors were slick and he had a hard time getting up, but now itís happening more often. I just let them outside, brought them in to feed them and not 4 minutes later there was a trail of his poop in the kitchen (he poops when he walks) he doesnít even know he is doing it. Has anyone experienced this before? Is there anything I can do? I doubt there is a solution. Thanks in advance.

I have seen this in older dogs, that friends had. Unfortunately Vet told them, inability to control bowels in older dogs is not that uncommon, and there just wasn't much that could be done. Would be worth a conversation with your Vet, just to be sure nothing new is available, or if there might be anything you could do to help your senior.
