Is this normal?

Hello everyone. A week ago, Snoopy (my 7 month puppy) got neutered and everything looked normal. Today, I got back from work and it looked weird (I have attached a picture). He wears an E-collar but he still can somehow manage to lick down there at times. Should I be worried? Is this normal?

In my opinion it doesn’t look normal. But I don’t really know too much about infected incisions. Is it bleeding or is there any discharge coming out of the incision? If there is there is a good chance he may have an infection. I had the same problem with my puppy, even with the cone he could lick his incision luckily he didn’t get an infection! My advice is to tell him to leave it or any other commands he or she would listen to.

Your Vet would be your best source of accurate information. I would suggest having your Vet check him.

It does look a bit inflamed to me, take him to the vet to have it checked out.
