My little puppy has something wrong with his eye

I have a little 5 week old Chihuahua/Yorkshire puppy mix. One of a litter of three he was perfect until a week ago. All of a sudden he has a problem with his eye. All of them have been busy playing, eating, and everything seems to be normal. I am still worried what exactly is wrong. The vet is my next option but figured a good forum on the web might be useful in determining exactly what I am facing. Heres a picture. Like I said. It doesn't seem to bother him. He plays, eats, etc, I,m dumfounded. I just don't want to be misled to do something that may be unnecessary. Thank you in advance for any input. https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...f3&oe=580BA942

Looks like cherry eye. Definitely needs a vet visit to confirm the diagnosis and discuss treatment options. If it is cherry eye then it may likely need surgery to repair it. Sometimes you can get lucky with topical eye drops to keep the inflammation down, but you need to have your vet examine the puppy ASAP.
