Metallic smell coming from vaginal area

My pup has a weird metallic smell coming from her vaginal area. Shes now 12weeks and has had it since 8 weeks. Shes been to the vet twice for initial exam and then for shots. I informed the vet about it the first time and she checked her anal gland and said they were fine. Didnt really notice it the second time but now that she is getting more cuddly and wanting tonlay with me i have been noticing it again. What could it be? Im kind of thinking its a UTI cause even for a pup she seems to pee alot. Sometimes its every 15mins but other times shell go a few hours before going to the door. I have another vet appointment in a week and a half so ill inform the vet again but i just wanted to get your guys opinions. Thanks

Honestly, the only thing I can think of is the anal glands. I would let the vet take another look and maybe get a second opinion.

So the vet you saw the first time only checked out her anal glands but not her genital area? Or am I reading it wrong? Is there any discharge? I wouldn't wait a week, if there is a problem I'd want it sorted out asap. And I'd take a sample of urine with me for the vet to analyse.

I'd see a different vet, getting a second or third opinion is often a good idea. I have no idea what it could be. AFAIK anal glands don't smell metallic, more nasty poop fishy smell.

Well she did a whole check up but at the point of taking her to the vet she hadnt pooped in over 24 hours so that was the first thing the vet thought of. I haven't noticed any discharge or discomfort while urinating.
