Mange or no mange?!

Hey everyone,

My 7 month old puppy is a rescue and we have had him a month or so now.
We started noticing the hair on his nose thinning and now it seems to be around the eyes too. I took him to the vet and mentioned it but she didn't really take note or seem too concerned enough to pursue any investigation (as we were discussing some diet / digestion issues he's been having).

I have attached some pictures - from all your experience does this look like the start of demodectic mange?

He is not scratching / itching and is in really good health (and his poop is much better now after popping him on probiotics after vet visit). He shows no negative symptoms whatsoever.

Would be great to get your thoughts and if this is something I can treat him at home for?

Thanks a million
