Lump on ear

We have an eight week old puppy that suddenly has this little lump on the bottom of her ear right by where it attaches to her head. I thought it first it might be a big tick but it looks like skin or something. It was not there before. I just noticed it for like two days. Is it something we should be worried about?

If I were 100% sure it's not a tick then the next thing on the list I would suspect is that it's just a bit of loose skin or a scab that was caused by rambunctious playing.

Keep a good eye on it. If it doesn't clear up and/or it looks like it's getting worse then let the vet look at it.

Ear growth

The spaniel we just lost developed an ear lump. We chose to have the vet remove it. The reason was that he was scratching at it. It bothered him. We thought that if he didnt scratch at it we would have left it. But it was on the inside of the ear leather and leaving it was not safe because he would have eventually scratched it open, get infected, etc, etc...we did not want to go down that path. It never grew back after it was removed. There was no scar, very clean.

Not sure if this helps or not.
Good luck.
