Irish Setter Skin issues

I have an 2 Irish Setters. One gets welt like hives and licks under her tail. Fur is gone and skin is red. Any ideas?

Irish Setters are known for having allergies(both contact and food type) and flea allergies seem very common with them. It sounds like you are having 'hot spot' problems, but you really should seek a veterinary dermatologist as the problem will only get worse. Meanwhile cool baths and a topical anti itch spray would help..........

Have you tried single protein foods to see if it is a meat allergy. Zignature is a good single protein grain free food to try. Try a meat that your dog has never eaten before.
