That?s a good idea. Thank you! I scheduled a photoshoot with a photographer. We?re going to the park. I told her the situation but explained I didn?t want black and white sad pictures. I want sunny and happy pictures. We are celebrating unconditional, everlasting love and a life well lived.

Doesn?t mean there won?t be some tears tho.

No problem at all, this is the recipe I used.

https://www.craftymorning.com/salt-d...tmas-ornament/

just keep an eye on em for the first 20 minutes, some times it "puffs up" so you have to push it back down.

I hope your photo shoot goes good and what a lovely idea.

I have so many pictures and videos and I?ll continue to take more. Does it get easier? I?m so scared of that moment but I?m trying not to dwell on it. Just trying to be in the moment w her. It?s the price we all pay for loving animals.

They say that time heals all wounds but it really doesn't. I miss Nemo like he died yesterday. We let Nemo die on his own terms. We didnt want to put him to sleep because we saw that everyday he wanted to live, so we waited for him to go on his own, and he did, in my brother in laws arms..at home..surrounded by his family who loved him so much. He is buried at a beautiful pet cemetery here in Los Angeles, its the only one here..he has his favorite dog squeaky toy and his blankie he had since he was a pup

I had an older dog that was recently put to sleep she had cancer and it just got too much for her to just move around
She was my heart dog I never thought I could be so close to a dog it's been a few months since she's been gone and I still miss her terribly
it is a little better now
I can talk about her without crying most of the time but I still miss her everyday
Almost a year ago I got a puppy and felt similar to the way you do at times
he wouldn't leave my Luna alone constantly trying to play with her she would just lay there and let him pull and attack every part of her he's always wanting to play never cuddles and gets into everything
I used a play pen a lot to separate them so my old girl could get some away time I also did lots of training with my puppy it reduced his energy and help me form a better bond with him I also blocked the house with baby gates he was only allowed in the living room which kept him from making too big of a mess
I can tell you now I am so glad the puppy is here
Now that I don't have my girl anymore I need a distraction keeps me going instead of crying
I still don't love him like I loved her not sure I can love any dog as much as her but he does comfort me as well as keep me distracted
I'm not sure I could have dealt with Luna being gone without sprocket to help me through it

We certainly do become attached to our beloved animals. We are so close to and bonded with Samantha, and though she is healthy, she is almost nine and we know there are absolute limits to the time allotment we can have with her. She is that special soul mate dog to both of us, and we cherish every day with her. I ask our Vet to guarantee another fifty years with her, but all I get is his friendly smile, and his commitment to continue doing everything possible for her to keep her as healthy as possible for as long as possible. We feel fortunate to have such a dedicated Vet, despite knowing I have made major contributions to his kids college funds.
