I just took my Boxador pup to the vet for tapeworm. I can't afford another visit yet. What are some things i can do to ease my poor babies suffering until i can get him to the vet again?

I have been mixing salt and water and rinsing his eyes out with it.

Without knowing what is causing his eyes to be runny and swollen, its impossible to know what to treat him with. You could be making things much worse with home remedies. He really needs to be taken to a Vet for diagnoses and treatment.

Although the cause is not certain it does sound like an allergic reaction. Allergies are common in both breeds.

Try Benadryl NAME BRAND 1mg per pound of body weight. Capsule form.

The solution i mixed for him worked quite well. Swelling went down nicely.

Thank you, DF! That's very helpful.
