It's impossible to tell from that picture. Ideally we'd want a picture showing a side view of her standing, as well as one looking down at her from the top (also standing). There are some good visual guides online that can help you; just look up "healthy dog weight". Additionally, your vet can give you feedback about her weight.

Piano is right, we would need that profile and top down shot to know. What does your Vet say about her weight? Our dog, has a very slow metabolism rate, and subsequently tends to put weight on, even though we really limit her food intake. Its a constant battle with Samantha, and one I will not lose for her sake.

She doesn't look overweight to me. She appears to be at a healthy weight. I can see that her body narrows and tucks up at the waist, which indicates that she is not overweight.

Just curious, what made you think that she might be overweight?

I think the general rule is you want to be able to see the last 1-2 ribs. She looks healthy & happy to me

I was worried because she weighs 22 pounds, but is so small. We love her though
