No flea product worked for me either and the dogs had an infestation,I gave them comfortis 2 weeks ago and I have yet to see a flea on them, none in the house either. Its on back order at the vets office now because so many people are using it. And it was only $40 for 2 dogs, lasts a month

The blue dawn. Some swear by it. It killed *some of the fleas. I washed the dogs in it, but the flea shampoo worked better. You may get bitten, but fleas don't generally live on humans.

I guess we are going to try & call the vet to see if they have the pill. This morning I think in her poop I saw a worm. Do they usually get worms while having fleas? We tried to clean her and got some on us, but right when we hit them with the hot water, they fell off & that was the end of those guys.

Small rice looking worms.are tapeworms from flea larvae. She will need a dewormer, drontal, from.the vet to take care of them if they are tapes.

Definitely time to take the dog to the vet and get her treated for internal worms as well as external parasites.
May as well get a heartworm test and Lyme test while you are at it. (that's all one test and only needs a couple drops of blood.)

I know your feeling! I have been spending around $180 a month for flea products that haven't been working. It's frustrating for sure.

Since the infestation is so bad, besides just treating the dogs:

Supplies:
Flea treatment for the yard
vacuum
Flea collar
Flea powder or spray that's safe for furniture and pets

Instructions:

Put the dog in the yard

If your dog sleeps with you or any family member wash all of your bedding.

If it's washable wash your dogs bed, and wash his blanket.

While bedding is washing cut the flea collar into a couple pieces and place it in the vacuum bag or canister, vacuum the floor making sure to get any cracks and crevices and under the furniture and if you can appliances.

Vacuum the furniture.

Apply the flea powder or spray to the floor, furniture, and the dog's bed.

Bring the dog in and give him a flea bath.

While the dog is inside treat the yard for fleas, follow the instructions on the flea treatment exactly or hire someone to treat the yard.

Two or three days after the dogs flea bath apply the topical flea preventive or give him the pill depending on which flea preventive you decide to use.

Re-vacuum everything, and reapply the flea spray or powder every 3 or 4 days for the next 3 weeks to make sure that any developing/hatching fleas are killed.
