Hard crust around mouth of shih tzu

Hi! I recently noticed my shih tzu has a hard crusty area near one side of her mouth that might be a little bit swollen but does not appear to be tender to her. I'm not sure if it's something I should go to the vet and get checked out for a $100 visit or if it is normal. I have images of it.

Thank you!

I'm not a Vet, but I would be suspicious of a tooth infection. My advice, take her to the Vet, so you can know for sure what it is, and how to deal with it.

If in doubt go the the vet, I know it's not very helpful advice but you have noticed a new odd thing and it's worth the vet visit even if it just rules out anything serious.
