Fleas or Yeast Infection?

So I'm kinda freaking out here at the thought of my dog having fleas, I have kids and she sleeps all over our beds.

During the summer she had a large breakout all over her belly, closer to the genital area of what looked like, eczema. It was like red and crusty and scaly. I took her to the vet who said it was probably allergies and gave me antibiotics. That cleared it up but eventually it came back but less aggressive. Fast forward to a couple months ago maybe, I can't really say for certain. She's always had these random black specks down in that area but nothing that screamed problem to me. But recently I was playing with her and she was on her back so I decided to investigate the area further. She developed this dark area in the same spot, but there are WAY more black specks. I immediately think fleas because I can see random ones in her white fur on her chest. She's goofy so it's hard to keep her still long enough but I tried wiping it off. I was using a baby wipe and I had to use a bit of force just to get SOME of the stuff off. It almost seemed flaky, it's really hard to tell. So after doing my Google searches I see it can be one of 2 things, fleas or yeast. She hasn't really been scratching more than normal but she has been licking herself more often, which I thought was cause her cycle is due soon. Today I noticed that she had a bump on her vaginal area too. She also has a deep brownish/red coloring on her nail beds that she never had before.

I have no experience with either of these, does anyone have any opinions about it?

I can't figure out how to post the pictures on the forum so here's a link;

Sounds gross, but do a sniff test. If you have half decent olfactory sense, yeast smells! Fleas dont.

Discolouration is from licking. Black specks are more than likely,flea droppings.

Capstar tablets: one dose, kills everything on dog, but does not last. If you're freaking about dogs having fleas, maybe should of got a fish?
Im not into flea treatments that leave chemicals in dogs systems.

Swim your dog as fleas cant swim.

Maleseb wash for yeast, or buy vagisil human female wash product for fraction of cost of vet prescribed maleseb.

Avoid oatmeal in dog shampoo, as oatmeal feeds the yeast.
ps. fleas cant swim, shower the kids.

Yeast: consider raw diet.
