Dog tore her pad...how do we treat?

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post. We were at the dog park yesterday and Zipper (1.5 yr old collie mix) was running after a ball with a couple other dogs. When another owner brought the ball back (they abandoned it) it was covered in blood. Everyone checked their dogs and all was fine. We further checked Zipper over when we got home.

Today at the park she stopped and held her paw up like she hurt it and was licking it. We looked and a part of her pad is dangling off (not bleeding). Once she licked it, she went back to playing. She's walking normally but limps if she tries to jog/run.

How do we clean it properly and take care of the wound so it doesn't get infected?

Thanks in advance!

Depending on the wound, Super glue works wonderfully to mend separated flesh at times.
