My 13 year old goldendoodle was reverse sneezing/light coughing after she ate and randomly during the day for a few days. She would throw up a tiny bit of water when she would pull on her leash during walks, but I thought that was just more throat irritation. I did get her to the vet and was given an antibiotic for a possible throat infection and an anti-inflamitory. She's been on it for two days now, and she is now randomly throwing up quite a bit of water/white foam mix about 4-5x a day. When she is laying down she also has started grumbling off and on. She still plays well, eats great and seems perfectly happy and doesn't act like she is in pain.
Has anyone encountered this? I have another vet appointment on Monday, and if I could have some ideas or things to ask that would be very helpful - in the event this isn't an infection. Although the vet said her heart was strong, that could be the issue and I'm freaking out a little bit.
Thank you for any advice!
You might want to consider getting a referral to an internist and getting an abdominal ultrasound done. Idk. It's good she's not in any pain, but I think you're right to be concerned. That's not normal. A specialist might be able to give you more answers.
Also, consider getting a harness to walk her. At this point with her unknown health problem, a collar on her throat might not be ideal.
