Dog scratching ears recently w/pic

The past day I've noticed my dog has started scratching his ears a lot so I took a look in them and took a picture. I have booked an appointment with my vet but I can't get in for a couple of days.
I was wondering if anyone knows what is happening to my dogs ear and possibly a way of treating it until I can get into the vet?
The dog is a lab corgi mix

Samantha gets allergy related yeast and bacteria infections in her ears. She tells us by scratching and digging at the affected ear, with her rear leg and foot, and will often shake her head, another sign. Our Vet prescribes medication, or it can be treated with Zymox Otic Pet Ear Treatment with Hydrocortisone. With her last infection, I couldn't get her into the Vets for a couple of days, used Zymox, and by the time her Vet appointment came up, she was much better. It cleared the infection completely in about a weeks time, roughly the same length of time as the Vet's medication. It been about a month and her ear still looks good, normal color and no inflammation. I'm convinced it completely cleared the infection, and IMO an advantage is with the Zymox, you are not supposed to clean their ears before using, a process that Samantha finds painful when the Vet does it. Still have your Vet check to be sure there is nothing else going on in there.
