Dog neutered

My dog was just neutered two days ago and I see some redness around the healing area and I'm concerned, he's been licking it occasionally. Any advice?

It looks inflamed to me too. I would ring the vet & ask if a cone is necesary & maybe some anti inflammatory meds. You should be able to get an aftercare visit for free, but pay for cone & meds. Unless you have some natural anti-flam & a cone. Some vets are stocking a natural anti- flam now. Some aloe vera will help too. Also check he hasnt pulled stitches out, I cant tell. You dont wana leave it until it gets infected. So a check up cant do any harm.
